My name is Rhys Grant and im an illustrator.

A little bit about me. Ive always drawn from an early age, often doing drawings for class mates in year 4-6 when pokemon was all the crazy. I would trade a drawing for a card, so it became pretty popular. After leaving my primary school i started my secondary school, but lost some of my passion for drawing, so i moved into basic comic strips, based on a blob that went around eating everything, basketball matches turned into comics, stick men fighting and war comics. In year 9 i chose architecturer as a subject, no computer based stuff, all hand drawn, but it was never something i was truly interested in. Year 11-12 i chose mostly art and computer based subjects getting a basic idea using photoshop, flash and doing visual communication, but it again felt too far from what i wanted to do. When i finished school i drifted alot, i felt lost, no idea on what i wanted to do. I did a certificate 4 in websites and multimedia at TAFE, which i failed due to the programming side( i hate maths with a passion) and went on to doind a certificate 3 in new media( sound, animation and video). The animation side started up something for me, i found something i was interested in doing, character design and conceptual art, im 3/4 way through my diploma of Illustration and hopefully heading in the right direction.
